I heard about this place last year and planned on visiting at some point. It was my cousins Birthday and another cousin recommended it, so we decided to give it a shot. Upon arrival we were greeted by security/door man. He was a very nice young man. As soon as we seated, we were immediately greeted by the waitress she was such a sweetheart. We ordered our drinks, which were amazing by the way. Cudos to the bartender. The crowd & atmosphere was surprisingly great. We had a very good time not only watching but also participating in Karaoke. I will be visiting again and would recommend.
It was my first time there and we had a wonderful time. The show was out of this world and all the artists were dam good. The place was clean and the music was on point from the DJ he had good music going until the show had started. I was there when Rodney Perry was the guest of the comedy show. The only problem is when I order some food in the chicken wings basket. I was disappointed that I didn't get all the whole wings I had only two whole wings and the other ones were party wings. I feel that if your customers order should be placed like what's on your menu and if the kitchen doesn't have them they should let the waitress or waiter know so they can advise the customer who placed that order. I really like being there even though it was my first time I really like to support black business I will come back again. Keep up the wonderful job on everything.
Great spot to meet up with friends or a date night. The DJ is good, music variety is nice, old school & new school. Patrons are welcome to utilize the dance floor. There is a cover charge & you may be checked at the door. You seat yourself & someone will come around to take your order. The crowd is nice, I've never experienced any ignorant behavior while there. I always have a good time here.
The DJ is on point! He knows how to mix it up from line dances, slow jams, to upbeat. The DJ and band truly make the lounge worth while. Staff are friendly and informative for newcomers alike. The establishment is clean and comfortable. Restrooms are clean and drinks are delicious and fairly priced. I'll come again and recommend.
Was there for a grown and sexy VIP Birthday Party with the works. This was my 2nd time at Jazzy 159. My 1st visit was great, my 2nd one this past weekend was not the case. The kitchen staff was a huge fail. The food was served in phases and was cold, they never lit the warmers, the salad was placed on the table after all the other food had been out for about 2 hours. The cocktail waitress Staff was good earlier but we had to go to the bar to order more drinks. The Live band was good. Dress code was not enforced "jogging pants , hooded sweatshirts, tennis shoesbut for the ones that did dress they were great.
Waited an over an hour for a drink in VIP. One waitress on a Friday night. Music is nice, but honestly when I'm out there's a limit to love songs I want to hear. If you want to be in love and enjoy some tunes, this is the place for you and your boo. However, if you're looking to party and have a good time with your friends, go somewhere else.
I enjoyed myself: the food was good, service was awesome, and the atmosphere was surprisingly elegant inside. The crowd was adult, intelligent, and professional. I met several new business partners in this space. I'll be back!
